Ivanna Cone

Who doesn’t like ice cream? Ivanna cone has it. They have some traditional favorites but they really stand out with all the creative flavors that rotate through. They are within walking distance if you just had dinner in the Haymarket and have a really cool atmosphere inside. I love getting a waffle cone with a couple flavors and sitting out front on one of the benches. It’s a great places to people-watch and enjoy whatever crazy flavor they have this week. Given the entire package Ivanna Cone provides, I’m not bashful about saying it’s probably my favorite ice cream joint I’ve ever visited. Anywhere.

Outdoor Dining

This one isn’t quite your normal “eat outside” place both because you can only get Ice cream and because they don’t really have (much) outdoor seating. At the same time, it’s one of my favorite things to do in Lincoln: get a cone of one or two of their more crazy-sounding flavors, go outside and eat it. If you can catch a spot on the park benches right in front of the building, it’s my favorite spot to enjoy your ricotta, melon, homemade olive oil & vanilla bean cake ice cream. Or just get chocolate like my wife does every time. If there’s not a spot open in front of the building, don’t fret, just take a stroll around the Haymarket while eating.
