It’s Been a Great Run
After 10 years of eating, drinking, and writing my way across Lincoln, it’s time to close this chapter.
What started as a simple passion project — a way to share the places I loved and help others discover them — turned into something I’m genuinely proud of. From hole-in-the-wall breakfast spots to craft breweries to the best Reuben you didn’t know existed, it’s been a delicious decade.
But life looks a lot different than it did when I started this. My job keeps me busier than ever, and my kids keep me even busier than that. The days of freely bouncing around Lincoln trying every new spot that opened? Those are harder to come by now. And honestly, when I do get out, I’d rather just enjoy the meal than take notes on it.
More than that — a blog like this deserves someone who can really be an authority on the Lincoln food scene. Someone who’s out there constantly, staying current, discovering what’s new. I don’t think I can be that person anymore, and I’d rather bow out than let this become something (more) stale.
Even Instagram — where I kept things going long after the blog posts slowed down — has run its course. It was the last piece of this I held onto, and it’s been a good run there too.
The posts will stay up as long as they’re useful to someone. Thank you to everyone who read a post, followed a recommendation, or discovered a new favorite because of something you found here. That was always the whole point.
