Hub Cafe

Farm-to-table is the theme for the Hub Cafe. It was started as a way to market “Branched Oak Farm’s dairy products, meat and vegetable crops while serving the community of Lincoln.” It’s not your normal “cafe” food so don’t expect anything boring. If you are they type of person who likes fresh, chef-inspired food, it’s culinary heaven.
On the vegan/vegetarian side of things, Hub Cafe isn’t exclusively vegan/vegetarian, but I feel like Hub has always encouraged their meat-free entrées just as much as their other food. They have always had plenty of vegetarian & vegan options which are always creative and really good.
The Hub Cafe overlooks Union Plaza, a great area for excising, bike riding, playing or just relaxing. They also have some fun events there, which makes it a really fun place to be. For outdoor seating, the patio is uncovered, so even on a nice day it can get pretty hot if you don’t have one of their umbrella tables. If they were open at night, the patio wouldn’t need to be covered because the sun should set enough to get shade from the building. But in spite of what could be, it is still a wonderful area to enjoy some really good food outside if the conditions are right.
The Hub is right on Lincoln’s main bike trail (Billy Wolff), so hop on your bike and get to the Hub Cafe.
