Casa Bovina
It’s almost unfair, Casa Bovina/the Mercato clearly has a lot of backing and they do a lot with it, including a really, really fantastic dining experience. While it might be unfair relative to the small operation and silly blog lists like this one, it’s to the benefit of you, the patron. The entire complex reminds me a little bit of an upscale winery one would visit in Napa Valley, only for beef and in Nebraska. Casa Bovina alone could clearly be a reason for someone to plan a trip to Lincoln in the same way I might plan a trip to a winery in Napa. The complex, food and experience are that impressive.
What you’re ordering
I could easily go with one of tasting courses here, or the Fettuccine Alfredo they made with a blow torch in a big wheel of cheese at the table.
